Biography
Molins de Rei (Barcelona, Catalonia) 1978. Multi-instrumentalist and producer focused on traditional music, although he has also worked in other genres.
In 2003, with three other musicians, founded the folk/world music group Sol i Serena performing in throughout Catalonia and Europe.
After a few years of research, in 2012 he published a work of square drum songs under the name "Projecte Pandero" where some of these old tunes are heard again after almost a hundred years of silence.
In the same year, Marta Rius releases her first album "No em deixis caure" where he acts as co-producer and musician with Florenci "Fluren" Ferrer and Marta Rius herself.
He made the arrangements for the Asterisc 2013, 2014 and 2015 concerts with the musicians Anna Roig, Roger Mas and Carles «Sanjosex».
In 2013 he began his collaborations with the Basque accordionist Kepa Junkera.
In 2013 the show Com un mirall set to music texts by the poet Joana Raspall was presented.
He is the producer of the Plan B and Els bitxos albums.
He holds around thirty workshops on violin, tambourine technique and construction and square tambourine tunes.
In 2017 he co-produced the album "Ànima salvatge" by La Marta Rius. The album is accompanied by a TV series lunched on Catalan public television in April 2021 in which he is an actor.
In addition to life on stage, he has never stopped playing traditional music to accompany dances and other popular events, alone or with groups like La Puça or La Puntual.
In October 2022, he will present the album SUBSTRAT at the Fira Mediterrània (Catalunya).
